A fine quality late 19th century French secretaire abattant. Of excellent construction with mahogany and walnut veneers onto an oak carcas. The drawer fronts decorated with geomoteric parquetry work inlay in satinwood and tulip wood. With an arrangement of 4 drawers and a central secretaire. All doors are lockable (key supplied). Embellished with crisply cast ormolu mounts throughout. The top is fitted with a white marble and the whole piece stands on turned bun feet. The secretaire opens to reveal a fitted interior in rosewood and satinwood, with a lined writing surface. This piece is of the finest quality and is offered for sale in very good original condition.
