A Fine And Large Regency Period Pollard Oak Centre Table
This exceptional 19th Century oak centre table boasts a wonderfully figured circular tilt top raised on a triform base with scroll feet and countersunk castors. Pollard Oak has been masterfully employed to create a striking visual effect on this substantial Regency centre table. Conceived in the Greek Revival style popularised by Thomas Hope and championed by George Smith, this table exhibits a refined form that places emphasis on the highly decorative native veneers.
Without a doubt, one of the best tops of this scale I have encountered.
Excellent colour and condition.
