An imposing early Victorian library table crafted in richly figured mahogany, with a beautifully aged large blue and gilt tooled leather writing surface. Designed with an uncommon drawer layout, the frieze is fitted with a narrow central pen drawer and a full-length drawer to each end.

The piece is finished on all sides and raised on bold ring-turned legs terminating in original brass cup castors. A commanding and versatile library piece suitable for freestanding use and offering a generous working surface while remaining conveniently proportioned.

Presented in very good antique condition. The mahogany has matured to a warm patina, bearing minor knocks and aged edges, while the leather writing surface shows attractive wear consistent with well-used service over many decades, all adding character rather than detracting. Structurally sound, with smoothly running drawers, clean and ready to place.

English, circa 1850.
