The 4 drawers down each pedestal are graduating, with 1 central drawer, all drawers slide freely, all locks in place no key, arrow dovetail joints, looks like original brass handles, ( no signs of extra holes) , there is no escutcheons with a couple of drawers, got bits missing, just adding more charm. The top is quarter sawn oak which gives it the tiger look grain. There is also a signature, T. Kirby, could he have been the maker back in the day. The desk stands on a plinth base, some age related marks adding charm and character to this antique desk, please see all pictures for condition.
