Date 1910

A superb quality early 20th century cast brass chandelier attributed to Faraday & Son, with shaped central column and bulbous finial underneath. The five scroll shaped arms terminate to circular bobeche trays and cups and the light hangs on a 22 cm chain, and when illuminated the chandelier glows beautifully.

The chandelier retains its original lacquered finish and it also comes with its original ceiling rose. The light has been rewired and is in working order.

The total height including the chain and ceiling rose is 71cm, which can be reduced.

Faraday was established by Robert Faraday in 1817, whose brother was the famous English scientist Michael Faraday. The company specialised in high quality gas fittings, ceiling lights, table lamps, wall sconces and floor lamps. The company became known as Faraday & Son in 1875
