A superb quality French Louis XVI style bronze gilt antique mantel clock from the Victorian period with acanthus leaf mouldings, beautiful female masks to the sides, laurel leaf garland and cascading flowers. The finely cast and burnished case has fluted design to the sides with scroll design to the arched top, beaded detail and stands on acanthus leaf toupie feet.

The case has inset flat and rounded black porcelain panels with finely painted colourful floral designs and classical design to the centre surmounted with an urn and bronze gilt floral display.

The porcelain dial has a painted floral centre with gilt Roman numerals and a French eight day duration movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a bell.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name -

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with  a 12 month guarantee.
