A highly decorative late 19th-century burr walnut and ebonised card table of refined proportions and exceptional craftsmanship. The beautifully figured rectangular top is inlaid with decorative banding and a central burr walnut panel, and swivels open to reveal a green baize-lined playing surface.

 

The table stands on elegant ebonised turned legs with gilt brass mounts, fluting, and foliate decoration. A fitted frieze drawer adds discreet functionality, making this table as useful as it is beautiful.
