A fine example of early English craftsmanship, this 17th Century oak coffer features a richly patinated surface and intricate hand-carved decoration. The front is divided into three panels, each adorned with stylised foliate and geometric motifs, framed by moulded rails. The top is plain and hinged, opening to a spacious storage compartment, supported on sturdy stile feet. The warm, deep colour and time-worn character bear testament to its age and authenticity, making it a desirable addition for collectors and period interiors alike.
