A Fabulous George 111 Bracket Clock By Thomas Brett, London
A George 111 Mahogany Bracket Clock by Thomas Brett of London c1750/60. It features a bell top case with four pineapple finials and brass carrying handle, it has a fusee movement of eight day duration with verge escapement, it strikes the quarter on eight bells and the hour on a single bell with repeating function. The arched dial includes a matted centre, mock pendulum, date aperture surrounded by decorative brass spandrels in a Rococo style. It has an engraved back plate. The secondary strike/silent dial is located in the arch also embellished with Rococo spandrels. Has key and in current working condition as with purchase of any clock we recommend the purchaser does a service. Currently stored in Haywards Heath
