A rare early Georgian Kneehole Bureau of a wonderful colour and patination.
Having a well figured fall which opens to reveal an interior of oak lined dovetailed drawers and pigeon holes. Below is a recessed kneehole cupboard flanked by six drawers with a long drawer above.
The bureau has been made to the highest standards, with all of its carcassing and drawer linings made from quarter sawn oak and finished in a superior grade of figured Mahogany. Superb faded colour to the Mahogany, with an excellent patina and lovely clean drawer linings.
Retaining most of its original brassware and its original key (although the bow of the key has broken away, please see photos).
