Description
An exceptional Chippendale period mahogany clothes press. Raised on extravagant O-gee and above two short and two long cock-beaded drawers with original handles and locks. The upper section with a pair of raised and fielded panel doors with beautifully matched grain. The press is topped by an exquisite cornice with finely fretted panels and central carving in a foliate design. In very good and original condition and retaining a fine colour and waxed patina. 2070mm high, 1310mm wide and 650mm deep. English. Circa 1760.
