A beautiful antique Edwardian silver plated tea tray dating from around 1905. Elegantly proportioned and exceptionally decorative, this quality serving tray features a finely pierced gallery with an attractive repeating lattice design, shaped serpentine border and integral carrying handles.
Raised on four elegant cast feet, the tray has a silver plated mirrored surface which reflects light beautifully and provides an ideal serving area for afternoon tea, drinks or cocktails. The delicate pierced gallery is finished with beaded edging and shaped corners, demonstrating the excellent quality of manufacture.
This versatile tray would make a wonderful addition to a coffee table, dining table or sideboard and is equally ideal as a decorative drinks tray or for displaying decanters, candles or collectables.
Condition
Excellent antique condition having been beautifully cared for. The silver plated surface is clean and bright with an attractive shine, the pierced gallery is in excellent order and the tray stands firmly on its original feet. There are only very minor age related signs of use commensurate with age, but no noticeable wear to the serving surface. A superb decorative and practical example ready for use.
