An antique English Regency style set of ten mahogany dining chairs, well made with elegant curved top rails and shaped backs featuring reeded and layered splat detail. Raised on turned and reeded front legs with swept rear supports, the chairs are finished in a rich warm mahogany tone and have been newly upholstered in a quality fabric.
Dining chairs of this design draw inspiration from early 19th century Regency taste, where curved lines and restrained ornament were favoured. The shaped backs and reeded detail give a refined, architectural feel, while the use of mahogany reflects a continued preference for quality materials into the early 20th century.
