See shipping detailsA very elegant antique mahogany demi lune console table of classic Georgian form, having a beautifully figured top with a rich deep colour and fine polish, raised on slender square tapering legs with neat spade feet.
The half-round shape was designed to sit neatly against a wall, making it ideal for hallways, entrance spaces or reception rooms where symmetry and proportion were key. During the Georgian period these were used as console tables to display decorative objects such as silver, glassware and candelabra, as well as serving pieces when entertaining.
The quality of the timber is particularly striking, with well-figured mahogany veneers giving depth and warmth to the surface. The proportions are refined and elegant, and the simplicity of the design allows it to work effortlessly in both traditional and modern interiors.
Condition report: Excellent overall condition with a very good polish. Light age-related marks to the top as expected with use but nothing that detracts. Structurally sound and ready for use.
