See shipping detailsA fine antique Regency period circular mahogany centre table of elegant proportions and excellent colour. The top is beautifully figured with striking flame mahogany veneers arranged in a radial pattern which creates a wonderful symmetrical effect across the surface.
The table stands on a substantial central pedestal column which rises from a shaped platform base with three elegant sabre style supports terminating in raised feet. This form of pedestal construction provides excellent stability while allowing comfortable seating all around the table.
The warm rich tone of the mahogany combined with the clean Regency lines makes this an extremely versatile piece which works equally well as a dining table or centre table. When upright the circular top displays particularly well, showing off the quality of the veneers.
A classic Regency design, admired for its balance, simplicity and superb timber selection.
Condition Report:
Very good antique condition with light age related wear to the surface consistent with use and age. The structure is solid and stable and the mahogany has developed a beautiful colour and patina.
