An antique Victorian pierced brass fire fender (fire kerb), dating to the late 19th century. The fender features intricate pierced fretwork decoration running around the entire perimeter, a characteristic decorative detail of the period.
It stands on small stylised brass bun feet and retains a polished finish with a good, warm patina to the brass. A decorative and functional fireplace accessory, suitable for both traditional and period interiors.
