Brass Inlaid Regency Rosewood Chiffonier
Description
A beautiful Regency period brass inlaid rosewood chiffonier, or side cabinet. Of fine construction in solid rosewood and attractive rosewood veneers. Decorated with inlaid brass ware throughout. The superstructure is surmounted by a brass gallery and includes original brass candle sconces, a very rare feature indeed. The upstand contains a mirror back and is flanked by brass supports. The main body of the cabinet has a pair of doors which open to access a shelved interior. The glazed doors are fitted with original brass meshwork panels and are flanked by pillasters. The doors are lockable, key supplied. Sympathetically refinished to a very high standard and now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
