Description
A very good quality French 19th century gilt brass mantel clock in the Louis XV style adorned with two doves to the front of the case. There are musical instruments to the central panel with scroll leaf design throughout and floral design to the sides, finished with a scrolling foliate and floral pediment.
The clock has a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a French eight day duration movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong.
The back plate is stamped with the makers name - Japy Freres
The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 monht guarantee.
