This magnificent large 19thc gilt mirror was made circa 1860. It is of important size being 160cms high 63ins
The oval frame with hand bevelled mirror to the centre and 4 separate mirrors running around the outer edge.
The pediment with putti and leaf to each side of the tablet in the centre.
At the base of the mirror is a further decorative mount.
This is a substantial mirror that would have been placed in a mansion in a very prominent position, to show any visitor the importance and standing of the owner.
