Bust of Princess Alexandra of Denmark

Circa 1860 - 1870

A superbly detailed figure of copper with a patinated bronze toned surface. In good overall condition, just minimal wear to nose and chin as detailed which does not detract from what is a very decorative piece. Some rubbing to the back, probably from test the metal previously.

King Edward VII married Alexandra (1844 -1925) when she was seventeen Queen Consort during her husband's reign from 1901 to 1910 expert horsewoman, enjoyed ice-skating, dancing and was devoted to her six children.
