Description
A splendid mid-Victorian period kidney shaped writing table, or desk. Of very good construction with beautiful rosewood veneers onto a mahogany carcas. The top surrounded by brass banding and surmounted with a pierced fret-work brass gallery. With a sumptuous black leather writing surface finished with gilt tooling. With a single drawer to the freeze (lockable, key supplied) and standing on elegant out-swept cabriole legs. Fitted with crisply cast ormolu mounts throughout, including to the rear. Sympathetically refinished in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
