Description
This Victorian Walker & Hall Silver Plated Tantalus would make a very stylish addition to any dining or drawing room. The three highly decorative glass decanters sit in the trefoil arranged carrying tray.
The sparkling and highly decorative glass, works so well with the detailed silver-plated metalwork. The beautifully cut decanters topped with their generous tear drop shaped stoppers are sure to display any beverage to their very best.
The tray is finely pierced and stands on delightful claw feet, also having a generous carrying handle that itself is intricately decorated. Fully stamped to the underside with the Walker & Hall motif and displaying the letter ‘R’ for 1885. Being made by such an admired maker, this set always was, and always will be, a quality item.
Just one thing to note, as shown in the accompanying images there are a few areas that have rubbed through the silver plate where the decanters stand in the tray, and a small area of rub through to the top of the decanter holding ring.
