George Hepplewhite period George III rectangular card table.

The well figured flamed mahogany top is crossbanded in tulipwood to all sides above super fine inlaid crossbanding to the card table edges.

The top lifts, swivels and opens flat onto a twin gate leg action to the reverse and reveals a green playing surface.

The top sits above a shallow frieze that is crossbanded in tulipwood with contrasting butterfly matched mahogany veneers, centred on a centre raised tablet. The frieze is decorated and inlaid with tulipwood with boxwood stringing to each corner and sits above solid mahogany tapered legs that terminate on block spade feet.
