A good quality mahogany Gainsborough chair. Raised on molded front and swept back legs all united by an "H" stretcher and with original and unusual Cope Patent molded castors and acanthus leaf carved brackets. The chair is in very good condition, has a  tight frame and is very well upholstered which only requires recovering. 990mm high, 660mm wide 790mm deep and 430mm seat height. English. Circa 1840.
