A patinated bronze figure of a female Bacchante by Eugène Désiré Piron (French, 1875-1928) The nude female with upturned face and garlanded short hair, her outstretched right arm holding a tambourine, her left foot extended behind her mid-dance, the whole raised on shallow circular base, signed E.PIRON supported on verdi antico swept socle circular base, 370mm high, 170mm wide and 140mm deep.
