A superb quality West Indian satinwood & marquetry display cabinet. Constructed to the highest cabinet making standards, the cabinet stands on turned feet with curved glazed sides and a central door enclosing a single plate glass shelf and mirrored back. The top is similarly shaped but with a pair of doors, a single shelf and velvet lined back. The cabinet is beautifully inlaid with a variety of hardwoods in the form of Harebells, swags, patera, foliate designs and Griffons and is topped with a swan-neck cornice and carved vase shaped urn. In very good and original condition. 1930mm high, 1020mm wide and 380mm deep. English. Circa 1880.
