Antique 18th Century Dutch Marquetry Mahogany Console Wall Table Cabinet
Here we have an antique late 18th century, circa 1790, Dutch Marquetry Mahogany Console Wall Table with a Cupboard and 2 Drawers. The table top is an incredible showcase of Dutch marquetry inlay with intricate floral details, birds and urns, bordered with a beautiful herringbone inlay. To the frieze is the first inlaid and oak lined drawer with brass handles.
The centre of this piece is a demi lune shaped cupboard inlaid with intricate marquetry details and with a shelf to the interior. Each side of the cabinet is an inlaid column with brass detailed ends. The base has a hidden drawer which is inlaid and oak lined, it stands proud on floral inlaid block feet to the front and bracket feet to the back.
