A fine early 19th-century Regency mahogany adjustable reading or music table of elegant design and superb craftsmanship. The octagonal top with a finely moulded edge, is mounted on an adjustable brass mechanism allowing for variable height and angle — ideal for use as a reading, writing, music table or lamp table.
Raised on a turned and reeded column terminating in a triform base with elegant swept legs and small brass castors, this piece perfectly exemplifies the balance and refinement of Regency design. The table retains a rich, well-aged patina, enhancing the natural beauty of the mahogany.
