Description
This is a smart little Tekke Turkman rug which dates from around 1930. The carpet has a nice rich colour palette with deep madder red, ivory, indigo and a lovely tangerine shade. It has a design featuring columns of quartered guls enclosed by borders of hooked guls. As is typical of Tekke carpets it is woven in quite fine wool and has a low even pile. In excellent condition throughout the carpet looks great down and has attractive long fringes to both ends.
It measures 198 cms by 114 cms.
