Description
A very good quality early 20th century oriental camphor wood campaign chest of drawers profusely carved to the top, sides and front with scenes of pagodas, people and landscape scenes. The chest has seven drawers with inset arched carved handles, each with a working lock and it stands on a moulded plinth base with shaped carved gallery to the top. The sides have carrying handles and the chest comes in two sections making it easy to transport and move around.
The interior of the chest has a lovely camphor wood aroma and the locks are stamped 'The China Camphorwood Trunk Co. Trunks Maker Hong Kong.
