A very good quality French brass antique clock set comprising of a mantel clock and two side pediment garnitures from the Victorian period. The set depicts Richard I (Richard the Lionheart) and the crusade with detailed landscape and ship scenes to the clock case and battle scenes to the garnitures. The finely cast scenes have silver gilt and bronzed detail which also follows through to the scrolling faun feet and female mask handles to the garnitures. The clock case has egg and dart moulding, two shaped columns to the front, four finials to the top and is surmounted by an urn.

The clock has a silvered dial with Roman numerals and an eight day duration movement which strikes the hours and half hours on a gong.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name - A.D Mougin
