A very decorative French bronze gilt antique mantel clock with beautiful cast case featuring cascading laurel leaf and berry garland, surmounted with urn, adorned with rams heads and floral swags. The case has mythological male masks to the sides, and the clock stands on toupie shaped feet and has inset porcelain panels with blue and white background, hand painted with floral design and finished with gilt detail.

There is a very decorative porcelain dial with colourful hand painted decoration and Roman numerals, with an eight day duration movement striking the hours and half hours on a bell.

The movement back plate is stamped with the makers name –

Japy Freres

The clock movement has been cleaned and serviced and comes with a 12 month guarantee.
