Description
Fine 18th century figured walnut chest on chest with a cavetto cornice above two short and three long graduated drawers.
The drawer linings are made in oak with the original steel locks and later but matching brass plates and brass handles to the drawer fronts. The figured walnut drawers are crossbanded with herringbone detail and the original escutcheons complement the existing metal ware.
The bottom section, consisting of three long graduated drawers, is raised on the original walnut veneered ogee bracket feet. The chest on chest is of diminutive scale with figured walnut sides.
