Description
A Highlander snuff taker usually found posted outside the local tobacconist shop. Late 18th century.
After the “Act of Union” between England and Scotland in 1707, Glasgow became one of the chief ports for the importation of American tobbaco. This Scot is holding a snuff mull and proffering snuff.
