A splendid and pretty late 19th century inlaid rosewood bonheur du jour, or escritoire. With a pull down flap (lockable , key supplied) which opens to reveal a fitted interior and a writing slope fitted with its original material writing surface. The base section with a single drawer, scrolling legs united by an under-tier and terminating in original brass and ceramic castors. Decorated with inlaid stringing throughout in boxwood. Further embellished with a profuse floral marquetry panel in satinwood, boxwood and mother or pearl. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops and now offered for sale in excellent condition, ready to go straight into the home.
