Burr oak and walnut kneehole desk with slide and writing slope. The draws and top are in burr oak with a quarter veneered top,and has feather banded banding around all the drawers and inset on the top. Dated around 1715 its a good early desk .Construction wise it has solid walnut sides and oak lined drawers. The handles are later but of the same period, there are two keys one locks all the drawers and another locks the cupboard. Altogether a really good piece.
