A superb early 19th-century Regency mahogany chiffonier of elegant form enriched with finely executed brass inlay and mounted columns. The piece displays the refined proportions and distinctive decorative language of the Regency period offering presence without heaviness.

The chiffonier features a raised back with brass-mounted supports, a single frieze drawer with elaborate brass inlay, and a pair of panelled cupboard doors below each framed with further scrolling brass embellishment. Inside is a full-width shelf providing excellent storage. The mahogany is richly figured throughout with a warm even tone that contrasts beautifully with the inlaid brass.

Styling suggestions: This versatile piece works wonderfully in an entrance hall, dining room or sitting room—perfect for displaying decorative objects on the upper tier while discreetly storing tableware, glassware or household items in the lower cabinet.

Condition

Excellent condition for its age. The brass inlay is intact and displays beautifully, and the cabinet stands solid and level.
