A magnificent William IV mahogany 16 seater three pedestal dining table dating to circa 1835. Expertly crafted from richly figured solid mahogany, the table displays the refined strength and symmetry characteristic of the period.
It stands on three well-balanced pedestal bases each with a boldly faceted column and triform platform terminating in shaped bun feet. The rectangular top features a finely moulded edge and extends smoothly to accommodate additional leaves offering versatility for both formal entertaining and everyday dining.
The table retains a superb original finish with a deep, warm patina and striking grain throughout. A quintessential example of the elegant yet robust design sensibility of the William IV era.
