Regency Mahogany Bookcase
A superb Regency mahogany bookcase of imposing scale and refined architectural form, showcasing the elegance and craftsmanship characteristic of the early 19th century. The upper section features a beautifully shaped pediment centred by a roundel, flanked by turned finials, and above a pair of tall glazed doors with Gothic arched astragals. Inside, adjustable shelves offer excellent display space.
The lower section is fitted with three frieze drawers adorned with fine brass lion-mask ring handles, over a pair of cupboard doors with original Regency brass grillework and pleated silk panels.
