The W.R. Simkin Solid Oak Knee Hole Desk is a stunning antique piece crafted from oak. With a classic Arts & Crafts/Mission style, this desk features a kneehole design and comes with drawers for added functionality. This stunning oak knee hole desk was made by W R Simkin of Colchester Essex, , around about the 1880's, it has one central drawer, with 3 running down each side graduating, all oak bases, the top draw has a split but still very strong, original brass handles, all locks in place. There is a key , some locks work but are a bit sticky, the central cupboard does not lock, there is a shelf inside. The ironmongery is all original. There is also a sliding brush for extra workspace. The top has age related marks, which is to be expected when your nearly 150 years old. The desk stands on bracket feet. Please see all pictures for condition
