About Alfred Barye

Alfred Barye (1839–1882), often referred to as Barye II, was the son of the noted French animal sculptor Antoine-Louis Barye. He specialised in bronze sculptures, particularly animals and equestrian figures, and worked closely within the family tradition of fine casting and detailed modelling. His works were exhibited in France during the mid to late 19th century.

 

About Émile-Corbin Guillemin

Émile-Corbin Guillemin (1841–1907) was a French sculptor known for his figurative works and for exhibiting regularly at the Paris Salon. He produced a range of sculptures including Orientalist and classical subjects. His works are recognised today for their detailed modelling and refined craftsmanship.
