An unusual George I walnut knee-hole dressing chest. Raised on bracket feet with central recessed cupboard bordered by three oak lined and cock beaded drawers to either side and dummy drawer over, all with original brass handles. The top, with re-entrant corners and cross-grain molding, folds open open and is supported by lopers, the interior has a selection of compartments and a central adjustable mirror. The chest has a lovely mellow colour and patina. 770mm high, 790mm wide and 480mm deep. English. Circa 1725.
