A fine George III mahogany tea table of demi-lune form, dating from the late 18th century. The hinged fold-over top opens to reveal a polished interior surface, supported by a rear gateleg action, forming a circular tea table when extended. The frieze is fitted with a single drawer to the front, retaining brass ring handles and original escutcheon, with a dummy drawer to the reverse for symmetry. Elegantly raised on tapering legs with boxwood line inlay, the table stands on brass castors for ease of movement. A refined and practical example of Georgian craftsmanship.
