A 19th Century Large Scale water colour by Stuart Lloyd. Depicting a scene on the Estuary with fishing boats and The Ship Inn. Housed in a double swept carved gilt wood and gesso frame, signed to the bottom right. English circa 1890

 

Painter Stuart Lloyd, who is also known as Walter Stuart Lloyd, was born in England on March 17, 1858 Based primarily in Brighton, Lloyd focused on rural landscapes, coastal and riverscapes, and harbour scenes throughout England, but also frequented Scotland and, occasionally, parts of Europe for inspiration
