Superbly drawn 18th Century Mahogany Armchair of generous proportions from the George II period having beautifully shaped cabriole legs with scroll carved ear pieces. The nicely shaped top rail with inverted corners featuring a delicately carved bead to the edge sits above the broad fretwork splat. The Arms are perfectly shaped with carved uprights that flow seamlessly into the seat rail. The Chair is of excellent colour and in very good solid original condition, standing tall on the original pad feet having lost no height over the years unlike many surviving examples. Circa 1745
